This channel….based on 'Hope" and consumer garbage products produced with ego not science….. is missing the point.
Climate-change is not some enemy that we have to "fix" or fight. Like obesity or cancer……quit eating/smoking/drinking chemical garbage and poisoning yourself and expecting different results. That's the definition of insanity.
We do not have a climate change issue to fight. That's just scapegoating for the ego intensified humans.
This climate change is yet again simply one more symptom….. that would not exist if our species were not on this planet…..that we are trying to pass the buck on.
The world…'earth'…. doesn't have plastic problems. Doesn't have food insecurity problems. Doesn't have coral reef problems. Doesn't lack funding for these problems?? Doesn't have Forest problems. Doesn't have fish problems…… Just human egos. Just a greed and profit human society that is the backbone foundation that creates these explosive symptoms. We humans are doing this. Not the Dolphins. Not the elephants. Not the hummingbirds. The ONLY fix is to change humanity. The detestable society it created. With its gods and shopping and holidays and sports….yadda, yadda, yadda……all fake ego crap. There is an us-against-them mentality around every corner to keep us on our toes and competitive. Yes, that is your every waking moment. That is how much time you spend destroying the planet with your meaningless garbage ego crap……. Every…waking…moment.
Quit trying to fix the climate (and making it worse) when the only problem that needs fixing is the human race.
And this unfortunately is not fixable. There won't be a climate 'diet pill' made for you here.
People will fight change with everything inside of them. They will go to war over change.
So don't talk about changing anything, unless you want to feel good about yourself and uselessly vote for a government (whatever??) that's going to fix the world for you like a diet pill you fat gluttonous consumer pig.
This is the real fight…. The enemy of climate change is staring you in the mirror. The battleground is your lifestyle.

And why are we trying to fix climate change?
Is it so that we can continue the disastrous ways that have led us to this point in the first place? Is it not comprehensible that maybe we need to change the way that we exist on this planet?
No, we're hoping that somebody else will fix climate so we DON'T have to change. We would FIGHT any change with everything we have. We want to continue business as usual which is exactly what's destroying the world. Which is the definition of insanity.
Everything….. Needs…. To….. Change. And you have no idea what that means.

why use direct carbon capture if you can literally just plant trees? people keep talking about terraforming mars but we need to start terraforming earth first.
guys we need to cut co2 emmisions by 45 precent by 2030 and to 0 precent by 2050 to be able to recover if we do reach 1.5 degrees we are doomed the reason is when we reach that ice that is containing methane gas will melt and fastfoward 2 degrees

The solution is simple actually, a mix of geoengineering and carbon capture. A progressive but massive slowdown of global shipment of goods.
A steep reduction of children produced in Africa.
No person should be able to have over on child punishable by immediate death or stérilisation.
If Pluvicopia works as the book claims, can we fix climate change rapidly while letting the developing world advance? Pluvicopia takes energy from the water cycle and produces limitless fresh water ecologically. It improves the climate and ecology while producing our needs and those of nature. The theory seems robust, would this not fix the problem in practical terms?

There is no way to mitigate our total extinction without reducing our numbers to 1.5 billion and keeping it there…immediately. This is a "too many Monkeys In Pants" problem that no one wants to admit nor address. The farewell to ice, Blue Ocean Event is coming, which will spell the end.

"Methane is twenty one times more potent at trapping heat from the Sun than carbon dioxide." This is a statement that you hear all the time from scientists warning about climate change. What does that actually mean? First, let's realize how they say CO2 warms up the air. They say that infrared energy from the sun strikes the earth and is radiated back towards space. As it travels through the atmosphere, they say it strikes a CO2 molecule, which causes it to vibrate and this is said to trap heat. Methane works the same way. When it is struck by infrared energy, it traps heat.
So what does it mean to be 20 times more potent? Not surprising, they don't explain what that means, so here's an interpretation: if a molecule of methane were to be struck by 20 times more infrared energy than a molecule of CO2, it would trap 20 more times the heat than being hit once. Ok, but there are real problems with that. First, there is 400 times more CO2 in the air that methane caused by humans. CO2 is 400 parts per million (which is incredibly small) and methane from humans is only 1 part per million. An amount that microscopic is going to be awfully difficult for the heat to hit, never mind trying to figure out how it is going to be hit 20 times more often that CO2. So, we can see, that even if methane is 20 times more "potent" than CO2, the likelihood of it being hit 20 times more often is basically very, very, unlikely. And if it is not hit 20 times more often, then it isn't going to absorb 20 times the amount of heat as CO2.
Even if somehow it could be hit 20 times as often as the CO2, there is 417 times more ppm of CO2 in the air, so the methane would only be adding 1/20th of the amount of at most, so we can see that CO2 would still be 20 times greater at absorbing heat.
