This is BAD advice. You must shut off the car with the good battery before trying to start the car with the bad battery, Otherwise the car with the good battery could get its electronics fried.
You need to go back to school, that's old shit you're saying. Newer car you need a power pack to jump start, when jumping older vehicles the ground on the dead car should go on a good (frame) ground, NOT on the NEGATIVE of the dead battery. If you want to create an explosion, you're doing it right. I'm as old as you gramps but I know how to jump a vehicle properly
That is not how to conect this is how to proply conect, full bat red to positive ,black to negative flat bat red to postive and black negative to negative on the motor not not on the flat bat so no damage to the electronics this is the proper way

Bought a 1000 amp mini jump box , never failed and ya don’t need to wait for someone 😎

The negative of the dead battery goes onto a car ground not on the battery itself, you'll blow the computer

Don’t have both cars running at the same time! The alternators will spin against each other!
Never put them on the ground please
Make sure your not jumping lithium. If you have lithium batteries get a jumpbox specificly made to jump lithium batteries.
Wrong. You can start the good car, let it charge the dead a bit, then switch off the good car to prevent surges.
Don't have the good battery engine running as you can damage ecu's due to wrong voltages.
