Just jumped a senoir citizen at the forest preserve. He said he left his key in the wrong mode etc..
Few turned him down for a jump, but My older brother brought him over to me and we took a chance to jump his car. After 10min the Senoirs suv was off an running.

I wouldn't use the jumper cables until untangled.
When I connect the negative black jump lead to an earthing point of the car with bad battery,I see some sparks then I get scared and disconnect all the cables.Are these sparks normal and should I continue with the jump starting?
Can you put the black cable on the negative terminal when both cars are off.
